Over the last three years, fast-moving Gabriel Noboa has launched a consulting firm, co-founded two local businesses, and is in the process of creating a technology company.
Gabriel transferred to FIU from Broward College in 2011 and immediately joined the American Marketing Association’s (AMA) collegiate chapter, becoming its vice president during his first semester and president the following one.
During his tenure at FIU, Gabriel, 24, has completed internships at See Ya PR; United Technologies Corporation; wireless distributor Brightstar; and management consulting firm McKinsey and Company.
Last year Gabriel helped lead the AMA’s chapter to 16 awards at the International AMA Collegiate Conference. He received the Outstanding Student Marketer of the Year Runner Up award, eclipsing 10,000 contenders.
In September Gabriel launched Alexander Jacobs Group, a consulting firm specializing in strategy and operations. He is one of the founders of Lion Fuse Digital Media, an interactive agency specializing in web development and social media. Gabriel is also CMO of another joint venture, smartphone and tablet repair company RepairGeeks, with locations in Hialeah and Pembroke Pines.
He credits three professors – Tim Birrittella, Elizabeth Beristain and Nancy Rauseo – with giving him the guidance and tools to succeed. Upon graduation, Gabriel will stay on the entrepreneurial track. Next year he plans to launch the tech company currently in development and over the next year-and-a-half will begin franchising RepairGeeks.
