Family & Friends Instructions

Arrive at least one hour before the ceremony begins. Doors open 1.5 hours before the ceremony. Arriving early will help you avoid traffic and secure preferred seating.
Confirm your graduate’s ceremony date and time by asking them directly or checking the schedule.
Seating is first-come, first-served for complete parties. Holding seats is not allowed, and every row must be fully occupied. Guests arriving separately will be seated separately.

Every guest must have a ticket, including infants, per FIU Emergency Management and Fire Marshal regulations.
No entry without a ticket. Tickets can be printed or displayed on a mobile device for scanning.
Late arrivals: If you arrive after the ceremony has started, you will be admitted once doors reopen.

Locate the Ocean Bank Convocation Center using the MMC campus map to plan your route.

All guests and bags will be inspected upon entry for security purposes.
Large bags and backpacks are not permitted.
Baby strollers must be checked in the designated stroller parking area at the front of the lobby.

Agree on a meeting spot before the ceremony to make it easier to find your graduate afterward. Large crowds can make reunions challenging.
